New Port Richey is located in Western Pasco County. It is approximately 30 miles northwest of the Tampa metro area. A few miles to the west, is the Gulf of Mexico. It has a land mass of 4.5 square miles. The population is over 16,000.
New Port Richey is a dual community with Port Richey. Both are a popular retirement community and have all kinds of recreational activities for every age. Those activities include swimming in the calm waters of the Gulf of Mexico, boating, canoeing, sailing and fishing. Many golf courses are available in the surrounding area. Cotee River runs through the city which allows for direct access to the Gulf of Mexico.
