Dade City is located in the rolling hills of eastern Pasco County. Dade City is the county seat of Pasco County. It ecame the county seat when Hernando and Pasco County seperated. Dade City was originally an Indian Trading Post. Dade City was named after Major Francis Dade who was killed in a Seminole war party attack.
Today, Dade City has many unique downtown restaurants and antique gift shops. It is a community with a warm, hometown appeal. Dade City has a variety of employment opportunities, including service, government, retail and agriculture.
