Winthrop Community is behind Winthrop Town Center. The Town Center has a Publix grocery store and several places to dine at. Some of the places to eat at are: MJ Barleyhoppers, Moe's Southwest Grill, and Shanes's Rib Shack. For those who like coffee, Starbucks is also located at the Town Center. There is also a bank, credit union, and shopping establishments. Winthrop also hosts social events. Some of them are movies on the lawn, live music, Happy Hour and Yappy Hour (dogs get to come). From October to May there is the Farmer's Market at Winthrop Barn on Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm.
